This is one area I’m a huge believer in. I workout, generally, 4-5 times a week. I am mixing in trail running twice a week with HIIT (sandbags, kB, tires, farmer carries, atlas stones) and then I do two strength/power days a week(bench press, weighted pull-ups, deadlift, cleans, squats). I mix them all up throughout. I have also compiled a binder of workout programs I’ve gathered over the years. This includes Sealfit, SFOD-D official selection prep program, 19th SFG selection prep program, strength program from 10th SFG strength coaches, etc.
Also, every once in awhile, I throw in a day on the range of workouts with my shooting. Sort of a shooting course with moving heavy weight and sprinting and all with shooting from various distances.
I have always felt that we should work to be well rounded warriors. Consistent training in weapons, physical ability and fitness, philosophy, history, tactics and spirituality. It’s never too late to start.
