Guys the SIG 320 make sure you know what your getting. I want you guys to know it was never about a drop fire. These guns will just go off for no reason. I’ve talked personally to one of these guys and the gun went off in the holster without him even touching the gun. The Shreiff lady in VA called in an ambush of her vehicle. What she didn’t know was the gun when off without her touching it. There are more cases than out these than are in this article. SIG sold 280,000 plus defective guns after the Army found this problem and made them fix it. Sooner rather than later this will be fatal.

If your buying these guns know what your getting. If you have these guns go get them fixed or looked at today.

I'm surprised it hasnt already happened. You take a bad design - really an "upgrade" of one of the worst guns ever made - the P250,add in garbage parts ( last I knew the parts were coming from India. Almost nothing in any SIG is German anymore) and combine it with SIG generally haveing horrible QC and you have a recipe for disaster. Im just shocked the POS has done as well as it has .

Texas DPS went to the Sig 320 in 2018, i sure hope they were part of the fix/replacement program similar to the Army. I agree, this could really be bad news for anyone carrying or owning a 320.

Sig reps have 20x the amount of free swag and "loyalty" propaganda then there competitor's, why?, cuz free shit buys loyalty on the interwebz and covers up there real issues

Even with getting discounts from SIG.... I ain't likely to buy anything from them. Management has ruined SIG

I'm surprised Sig won't square this away. If the guns are that bad(Safety wise) its gotta be a HUGE liability legally. Never
mind the loss of reputation as well as future sales. I don't understand how Sig won the Army contract(Plus many others) with this kind of problem. Granted the Army pistol has the added manual safety, I have two 320's, and both have the "upgrade". I never really shot them much because I am happy my Glock 19, 45, & 26.

May be, but my point is that this issue could come back to bite them in a big way.

Sunday I personally witnessed a Sig P320 go "bang" on it's own, I was 4-5ft to his 4 o'clock as we were switching off doing primary to secondary transitions on a IPSC target 10yrds away.

After he transitioned to his secondary he shot 3rds at full presentation then brought the P320 back to the 2 position were I could clearly see his finger was fully extended outside the trigger guard and against the slide,.

Just as he got the gun back to the 2 position it went "bang" and it defiantly caught both of us by surprise, the "SigD" round went into the head of the IPSC target, fyi

He is following up with Sig on the issue but needless to say his Glock 17 went back into play asap.

I wonder if some of these problems(If any?) are due to folks doing their own mods to their Sigs? Seems like these days more people are switching out triggers and what not. Does anyone know if they are all stock guns?

Yes, PD gun (Texas DPS carry Sig), so LEO are for sure not allow to modify mechanical components-trigger.

I was reading through all the complaints and articles about the issue. Seems like folks are really disappointed about how Sig is handling the whole thing. This is a real shame that the management at Sig isn't getting out in front of this and making it right.

I've seen the 320 US made mags literally come apart on a reload while on the range. My agency went 100% SIG and drank the koolaid. I'm sticking with my G17.
